[Pkg-chromium-maint] Bug#684662: chromium-browser: google search from www.google.com only displays 1 character of typed input

Fresh install of Debian Squeeze and Chromium-browser pkg.  When I try to type
in search terms on the line below the google doodle, I can only see 1 typed
character.  The search works ok, but I can't see what I'm typing.  (Typing 
the search terms in the address bar works fine, and the google search page
reached from there behaves properly (shows all characters as you type them).
