It is within the realm of possibility.  Someone would need to
volunteer to do it (and continue to do it until squeeze support fully
ends), and should run it past the security team (and probably the
release team) first.

Note that a while back I was doing my own backports for a while, but
ran into an incompatibility with squeeze's libnss.  That would need to
be solved first.  There may be a thread with more info and a potential
solution, but I didn't keep track of it.
