[Pkg-chromium-maint] Bug#764883: unusable, oversize UI (tab, address bar, etc.)

Package: chromium
Version: 38.0.2125.101-1
Severity: serious

Heya,
with the arrival of 38.0.2125.101-1 in testing, the UI of chromium has become
unusable on my laptop (Lenovo T440s, with Full HD display). As you can see from
one of the attached screenshot, both tab labels and the address bar are
oversize, not only taking up a lot of vertical space, but also triggering the
hiding of important UI elements (e.g. the "X" used to close tabs).
Menus and menu items, not shown in the screenshot, are also unusable, due to
the font being so large that only few letters are visible on the screen.

The other screenshot attached is from chromium 37.0.2062.120-1~deb7u1, which is
unaffected (unfortunately, I can no longer use it either, because running 38.x
has "upgraded" the profile and 37.x now refuses to open it).

Cheers.
