[Pkg-chromium-maint] Bug#777265: chromium: Impossible to set chromium as default browser

I use an installation without desktop environment (today).

And :
apt-get install xfce4 xfce4-goodies
startxfce4
apt-get install iceweasel
apt-get install chromium

I launch chromium -> Settings -> Make chromium the default browser. 
(change nothing)
I launch iceweasel, Make iceweasel the default browser -> OK
On the shell :
chromium
(on the top of the window : Chromium isn't your default browser -> Set 
as default (nothing change)
ATTENTION: default value of option force_s3tc_enable overridden by 
environment.
Gkr-Message: secret service operation failed: The name 
org.freedesktop.secrets was not provided by any .service files

or

apt-get install lxde
apt-get install slim
startlxde
apt-get install chromium
chromium -> Settings -> Cannot determine or set the default browser (no 
possible choice to make it)
apt-get install iceweasel
Make iceweasel the default browser -> OK
On the shell :
chromium
ATTENTION: default value of option force_s3tc_enable overridden by 
environment.

with gnome desktop environment (choice make during the install programm)
Make iceweasel the default browser -> OK

with galternatives, I have to add /usr/bin/chromium in www-browser but 
lxde still say Cannot determine or set the default browser

update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/x-www-browser x-www-browser 
/usr/bin/chromium 500
update-alternatives -config x-www-browser,
the answer is
There are 2 choices for the alternative x-www-browser (providing 
/usr/bin/x-www-browser).

   Sélection   Chemin              Priorité  État
------------------------------------------------------------
* 0            /usr/bin/chromium      500       mode automatique
   1            /usr/bin/chromium      500       mode manuel
   2            /usr/bin/iceweasel   70        mode manuel

but when I lauch it, it ask me to set chromium the default browser.

Is that more clear ?
Whatever the desktop environment, it is impossible to do that.
