Package: chromium
Version: 60.0.3112.78-1
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
Using the new "perform an audit" under the "audits" panel in chromium 60 devtools fails silently and freezes the entire page. The only "solution" is closing the tab.
After checking journalctl, I saw this:
[1334:1334:0803/121433.813266:ERROR:CONSOLE(0)] "XMLHttpRequest cannot load https://chrome-devtools-frontend.appspot.com/serve_file/@a06489456eeba3939f2f058a4e5bd6178e7b3bb9/audits2_worker/audits2_worker_module.js. No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'chrome-devtools://devtools' is therefore not allowed access. The response had HTTP status code 404.", source: chrome-devtools://devtools/bundled/inspector.html?remoteBase=https://chrome-devtools-frontend.appspot.com/serve_file/@a06489456eeba3939f2f058a4e5bd6178e7b3bb9/&can_dock=true&panel=elements&dockSide=undocked (0)

The same error occurs everytime you try to "perform an audit", regardless of the page you're trying to audit. The bug seems 100% reproducible.
Using the Lighthouse extension[0] seems to be a decent workaround. It's what the new "audits" panel is based on so it's essentialy the same thing.
