Package: cinnamon-control-center-data
Version: 2.2.11-2
Severity: important
The package cannot be upgraded, because it includes a file that belongs to
cinnamon-control-center 2.2.10-3.
Currently, I have these files installed:
$ dpkg -L cinnamon-control-center-data|grep changelog.gz
/usr/share/doc/cinnamon-control-center-data/changelog.gz
$ dpkg -L cinnamon-control-center|grep changelog.gz
/usr/share/doc/cinnamon-control-center/changelog.gz
The new version of cinnamon-control-center-data carries a version of the file
that used to belong to cinnamon-control-center:
$ dpkg -c /var/cache/apt/archives/cinnamon-control-center_2.2.11-2_amd64.deb|grep changelog.gz
$ dpkg -c /var/cache/apt/archives/cinnamon-control-center-data_2.2.11-2_all.deb|grep changelog.gz
-rw-r--r-- root/root 1404921 2014-08-28 07:45 ./usr/share/doc/cinnamon-control-center/changelog.gz
And so, now dpkg is stuck:
Preparing to unpack .../cinnamon-control-center-data_2.2.11-2_all.deb ...
Unpacking cinnamon-control-center-data (2.2.11-2) over (2.2.10-3) ...
dpkg: error processing archive /var/cache/apt/archives/cinnamon-control-center-data_2.2.11-2_all.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite '/usr/share/doc/cinnamon-control-center/changelog.gz', which is also in package cinnamon-control-center 2.2.10-3
I guess this was the result of a typo or somesuch.
Cheers, Tincho.
