I've heard of a similar bug in the past, that I thought it was fixed.
When you finally manage to unlock the screen is there a new pop-up showing up
in your desktop? Is this a pop-up showing up coming from google-chrome or
chromium?
It's possible that this is fixed in the cinnamon version that is currently
available in testing, we are working on making this version available as a
backport to stable. Would you be interested in testing this when it's
available?
Happy hacking,
