Cinnamon 3.0 is now in testing.  Could you please test if this happens 
to you with 3.0 ?

I don't actually expect a change, but it makes sense to check first.

If this is still happening, could you maybe try to provide more info?
Is there anything in particular that triggers this? Does it happen 
always or only sometimes? Does it happen immediately after a reboot?
