Nice work on finding those references!  In that light I agree with not
doing that change, or at least postponing it.  I only tried it out on
my machine and saw no regression, but yes, new omniEvents and
omniORBpy are more important.

Is there any way we can include the link to the start of that thread
in the changelong somehow?  Or maybe we should only worry about that
when we close the bug report.  At least it's on this list now though.
