Hello
I've had a look at #282811, the FHS, LSB and Debian policy. The only
reference I can find to this issue is in the FHS that suggests to use
the package name in /var/lib/ (which is what's checked in currently).
This package name is also what I've used as the log file in /var/log/
currently.
By default omniorb will use /var/lib/omniorb, so probably
/var/lib/omniorb4 is a good idea, although not following the FHS to
the letter (but it doesn't seem to care that much). For the actual
log file I think I'd prefer /var/log/omniNames as that's the process
name and people are more likely to be looking for that I think.
Any thoughts?
Floris
