Hm, it's interesting... On my test environment, both old/new pstops
made same files.
You can use /usr/lib/cups/filter/pstops as standalone command.
So please try to make the filtered files.

*OLD(1.2.7-2)*/pstops 1 julien "" 1 "" *YOUR_PS_FILE* > old.ps
*NEW(I made)*/pstops 1 julien "" 1 "" *YOUR_PS_FILE* > new.ps

(replace *OLD*, *NEW*, and *YOUR_PS_FILE* with your values)

Then sent me old.ps and new.ps.

You can check the difference by "diff -u old.ps new.ps" also.
