Hi,

I just bought a Brother HL-5250DN printer. It can be configured to use IPv6,
and to publish itself through mdns/zeroconf/bonjour/avahi/… and snmp.

If IPv4 is disabled in avahi, cups is unable to find the printer (while it is
published on IPv6, as avahi-discover finds it).

cups should be able to pick the printer even using IPv6 mdns stuff.
