Hello,
following up to
http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/pkg-cups-devel/2008-March/005113.html
it looks like now it would be possible to have an updated splix
package in Debian, since cupsddk is available.
I have taken the Ubuntu package and applied a little bit of fine
tuning. Diff against ubuntu:
------------------------------------
splix (1.1.1-1) unstable; urgency=low
* upload to Debian, merge from Ubuntu.
* New upstream version. Closes: #457650
- Fixes printing on ML-2010 Closes: #439817,#455795
* Fix lintian errors:
- Do not ignore errors on $(MAKE) clean.
- Standards-Version: 3.7.3, no changes required.
* Use Homepage control field.
* Make use of dh_installdirs instead of invoking mkdir directly.
* [10_fixbashism.dpatch] Fix bashisms in ppd/compile.sh.
* Allow building of packages with jbig-support by specifying withjbig1 as
part of DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS.
* add watch file
------------------------------------
Available from http://www.bebt.de/debian/splix/
I *think* the package is good for an upload. I have not actually done
one for these reasons:
* Other people had voiced interest earlier.
* I do not speak C++ at all.
* I cannot test it currently. (The splix using computer is offline
currently.)
Anyway, perhaps there is somebody who can take it up from here, I
might be willing to sponsor.
