Package: cups-pdf
Version: 2.4.8-2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

the cups-pdf printer driver only works for root.

when invoked by a user it produces no output in the ~/PDF
directory

as a regular user:
$ lpr mozilla.ps
$ ls -al ~/PDF
total 24
drwx------   2 jasen jasen  4096 2008-08-22 23:50 .
drwxrwxr-x 141 jasen jasen 20480 2008-08-25 00:06 ..

#cat  /var/log/cups/cups-pdf_log
Mon Aug 25 00:10:31 2008 [ERROR] failed to set file mode for PDF file (non fatal) (/home/jasen/PDF/mozilla.pdf)

but the same ps file converts fine if printed by root.
