It does, since the crash happens due to a SIGPIPE, when a cups
subprocess without stderr tries to write this warning to stderr.

Yes, you can use "BrowseProtocols CUPS" (or any other list which does
not include DNSSD).

The kernel version is unrelated to that.

I cannot reproduce the crash (it is a race condition), but I can do
something to silence the warning, to prevent the crash from happening.
