Package: cups-pdf
Version: 2.5.0-11
Severity: important

Printing fails - no output under ~/PDF. /var/log/cups/cups-pdf_log contains:

Wed Nov 4 09:27:08 2009 [ERROR] failed to set file mode for PDF file (non fatal) *filename.pdf*

I saw this:

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=301406

which suggests:

---
Since you mention "paranoid" settings please make sure that you (as
non-root user) can change into the directory /var/spool/cups-pdf/SPOOL.
You need user-read access to this directory in order for cups-pdf to work.
---

The permissions are actually:

drwxr-x--x 2 root lpadmin 4096 2009-11-04 09:27 SPOOL

but adding universal read access doesn't help.
