I just tried rebuilding genstrings and the bug is easily reproducible.

Then I tried building with a dynamic libcupsppdc instead of the static one, 
and I at least got a working genstrings executable that did some output and 
continued.

How can I do for inserting a cache?

First from the options inside Internet Explorer you never need to turn off the 
space bar to link the program to the gadget.
