[Pkg-cups-devel] Thanks for packaging cups! And fixing deps relationships!

Hi.  I don't actually use cups.  I've always preferred lpr* and
just try to work around cups.  Just wanted to say thanks.  CUPS has
been difficult to deal with for years for those of us who don't want 
to use it.  Problem solved, thanks.  Great to have my printer back
so easily and successfully.

Today, I was trying to get printing working on my sandbox again after
reinstalling it.  "apt-get update && apt-get install lprng":

   ------------------
The following packages will be REMOVED:
  cups cups-client cups-driver-gutenprint foomatic-db foomatic-db-engine ghostscript-cups
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  lprng
0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 6 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
   ------------------

It worked brilliantly.  Printer's working yet again via my custom
/etc/printcap:

lp|LaserJet 6L: \
   :lp=/dev/lp0:
   :force_localhost: \
   :if=/usr/bin/foomatic-rip: \
   :ppd=/usr/local/etc/HP-LaserJet_6L-ljet4.ppd: \
   :sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp: \
   :mx#0:sh:

btw, sandbox is running linuxmint-9-fluxbox-rc-i386 "LiveCD", fwiw.  I
imagine this will work decently on any Debian related system.  Pass on
pats on backs to your downstream compadres.  :-)
