Package: cups
Version:1.4.4-7
Severity: important

I want to share printers to windows systems, and have the windows
systems use the windows driver to format. I have tried with the
out-of-the-box configs, and I tried making changes. Works perfectly
on a Gentoo system with cups 1.4.6 -- even copied the printer config
over, and it still does not work. I can access the printer via a web
browser. Using a local ppd filter will allow for a test page print
through cups -- but I need to have raw working. I have posted to
forums, and have been going round-and-round on the cups mailing list
-- raw printing simply won't work with Debian and Cups 1.4.4-7.

Here is output from an Epson Stylus R2400 served from my Debian box
via IPP to a Windows 7 box, installed with current & appropriate driver:

===============================</log>=======================================

The printer never makes a sound, and the queue remains empty (as far
as I can see).
No complaints from Windows.

I cannot print a test cups page when setup as raw. I believe this is
because this is not a postscript printer, and the test page is
postscript.
