[Pkg-cups-devel] Bug#613987: lpr prints blank pages

Standard up-to-date squeeze is used.

Printing certain PDF file fails through lpr. The considered file is 
attached. When the command following command is issued
lpr HensgenFinkelManber-TwoAlgorithmsForBarrierSynchronization.pdf
the printer complains about false page size, and, when the printer is 
told to use A4 instead, blank pages are produced.
However, printing this file through evince succeeds.
Direct web interface of the printer also allows printing this file.
The printer is a network printer, model HP LaserJet M4345 MFP, connected 
via a socket://... The printer driver is HP LaserJet M4345 MFP 
Postscript (recommended).
Some other PDF files are printed normally through lpr (e.g. the attached 
file q.pdf).

Speculation:
It seems to me that certain PDF files are wrongly handled by cups-bsd.

I'm not an expert in cups-bsd and have to hand this problem over to 
cleverer people.

Any help on the bug is appreciated.
