Hi Nate,

Just try and set the printer driver to "Generic PostScript Level 1 
Printer Foomatic/Postscript1 (recommended)" or similar. With that at 
least I can print now. True, all special features of that printer are 
now useless but at least I can print again. :)
So I guess it depends on the driver PPDs supllied by vendors and just 
bad luck. I attached the last PPD I tried (directly from 
openprinting.org) for my Kyocera FS-920. Outcome is still the same: 
Nothing comes out of the printer but tha data LED flashes for all 
eternity (at least I guess so, I did not wait an eternity ;)).

And I can confirm that even when nothing comes out of the printer, cups 
thinks the job was printed fine, print job is shown as completed.
