[Pkg-cups-devel] Bug#610438: Failed to start service

Hello Olga,

After being in the BTS for over a year it would be nice to be able to
close this bug. You may have upgraded the cups package to the present
testing version and found the issues you described to have gone away.
Alternatively, you may have adjusted your configuration to rectify them.
Either way it would good to know if the bug still exists.

Very unusual. /etc/init.d/cups is removed when the package is purged but
otherwise it should always exist. Just to eliminate one possibility,
would you please provide the result of the command 'lsb_release -a'.
