I did. I find your comment (and the following ones) uselessly offensive,

I disagree with this interpretation: as far as I can say, both #668662 and 
#677180 are exactly occurence of the inverse situation than the one you 
describe: cups was upgraded but libcups2 (shipping the correct symbols) not. 
This is _fixed_ by the actual situation in both wheezy and experimental: any 
upgrade of cups will pull "at least" the correct version of libcups. This is 
how _all_ other library dependencies are handled in Debian.

Now, to not let this "bug found" ping-pong continue, as I entered the 
Maintainer field of the not-yet-uploaded cups 1.6.1 [0] with the maintainer's 
agreement, I hereby, as NMUer and prospective maintainer, declare this bug as 
fixed in the version in Wheezy. Please don't play further severity or "found" 
ping-pong.

If you still disagree, I urge you to seek other opinions on the matter and 
bring this issue in front of the Technical Comittee if you still don't agree. 
I will be happy to have my judgment challenged.
