That's what I suggested in my wishlist-bug against websieve. BTW, apart
from our packages, websieve is the only package in Debian which seems to
depend on or recommend (or even suggest) libcyrus-imap-perl2*.

Well, as far as I can tell: it is complete. But you can check for
yourself: It is also used by apache (https://mail.incase.de/) and
postfix (telnet -z ssl mail.incase.de ssmtp). Both use exactly the same
pems, keys and ca-files/pathes.

Me too.

Well, actually I don't really have more data about it. Even in an
strace, I don't see which database might be meant. It certainly isn't
any of the databases in /var/lib/cyrus/*, since they all appear to be in
perfect shape after the failed SSL connection (and the above log
messages). Geee, I hate this sort of bug.
