Since subscribing the alioth list through the PTS to all email, I've came to
realize that there are two very very annoying issues with this:

1. the list must accept blind forwards (which currently is annoying me and
Sven as all heck, since we have to approve a lot of posts), and denying
blind forwards stops a lot of spam, so I wary of letting it go.

2. if the list breaks, NOBODY will get maintainer email. That means we still
need to be subscribed through the PTS, which in the end doesn't make things
any better than what we have right now.

(1) is workable in mailman, I don't know about other places (and the first
to suggest we use Yahoo groups gets kicked in the head :-) ).

lists.debian.org. At least when THAT breaks, we don't have to worry much as
pretty much everything else stops as well.

Really, we could also do simple mail forwarding to those who want it PLUS
the alioth mailinglist. That I have nothing against, as it is not prone to
breakage.

That said, as long as at least me and Sven subscribe ourselves through the
PTS, using the alioth ML would be acceptable.
