The problem with the change is that the associated translations also
need to get updated. I don't know how do achieve that, so I reversed the
change for the moment.

The change was due to two warnings (actually the change only resolves
one of them) that sid's lintian issued when I checked the -6 packages
yesterday. Here they are:

warning: lintian's authors do not recommend running it with root privileges!

linda warned about old config.sub/config.guess files, but we update them
through the dpatch patches, so that shouldn't be a problem. We could
eliminate that by updating or removing them by way of the Debian diff
instead of debian/rules and dpatch.
