Bug#383640: cyrus-imapd-2.2: confusing error message about missing
sieve script

Package: cyrus-imapd-2.2
Version: 2.2.13-3
Severity: minor
Cyrus prints a message like this in the syslog every time a user
receives a message, unless the user has a sieve script:
Aug 18 14:47:44 kakmonster cyrus/lmtpunix[2222]: IOERROR: fstating sieve script /var/spool/sieve/m/marcus/defaultbc: No such file or directory
I know this is only a notice, not an error, and that it can be safely
ignored. But writing an informational message with wording like this,
especially the "IOERROR", borders on malicious behaviour. Most
beginners are needlessly alarmed by this message (try googling for
it!), and rightly so.
It should preferably say "warning" or "notice", or even better, not be
printed at all. (After all everyone seems to recommend to ignore the
message anyway.)
