[Pkg-Cyrus-imapd-Debian-devel] RFC: Remove banner in list subject lines

After getting my last email back, I realized I had meant to ask about
this previously.

What do you guys think about removing the
"[Pkg-Cyrus-imapd-Debian-devel]" banner from the subject line of list
messages?

I think we should for the following reasons:

1.) It's pointless. The only reason I can think of to use it for is
finding list messages by a filter, but they can be filtered by the
"List-Id" header

2.) It makes it harder to find what stuff is about by clogging up
message lists. Take this recent list message's subject: "Bug#347658:
[Pkg-Cyrus-imapd-Debian-devel] Bug#347658: please include patch from
kolab for Shell.pm". There are *55* characters before the real subject
starts. We can eliminate 31. Additionally, I hope the BTS would not
duplicate the Bug# tag if it's at the beggining of the message, which it
would be without our tag.

3.) It's annoying.

Talking with Sven, he agrees with this proposal. Any comments?

Cheers,
Benjamin
