Autocreate patches

I'm currently using cyrus-imapd-2.2 on Ubuntu, which appears to be
packages synchronised to the Debian sources.

I have spent a while looking through the changelogs and cannot see any
information, except one discussion that says the patches should not be
included. The article below seems to suggest that the kolab packages
have the patch included, but I can't see that in the Debian changelog
either.

Do any of the current Debian packages have autocreate support
available in them? Are there (un)official .deb files available with
this included? If not, how hard is it to patch the source and create
a .deb for installation? I'd rather not cm for every user on the
system!

Regards,

David
