First of all, sorry for the late reply.
Now, according to my checks, all executables in cyrus-imapd-2.2 are
linked against libdb-4.2.so and the package also has a matching
dependency in its "Depends" control field.
Could you please execute the following commands and reply with their output?
apt-cache policy cyrus-imapd-2.2
dpkg -L cyrus-imapd-2.2 | grep bin/ | xargs ldd
