This is a good way forward.

But the package kolab-cyrus-imapd is made from the cyrus-imapd-2.2
source, plus some kolab specific patches. So #421942 should first be
solved.

Any news from Debian Cyrus Team about  #421942 ?

Linked to this, upstream kolab cyrus imapd is version 2.3. Will
cyrus-imapd-2.3 hit unstable soon?
