patch 99 was mostly auto-generated anyway, by updating the autoconf
stuff while doing a "dpatch-edit-patch" (or whatever it was called).
That's also where the @dpatch@ and /tmp/dpep-* come from: We originally
used dpatch to patch the sources, but somewhen during the move to 2.3,
we switched to quilt (which is actually better anyway and opens the path
to source format 3.0(quilt) for the future).
