I wonder whether you want to file this bug with more competent wording
than I could do. I noticed that meson is not team maintained nor in a
packaging VCS which sucks these days - but well, I'm to less involved
into this to make some fuzz about it.

Yes, sure. However, if I want to backport to Jessie I need to wait
until Stretch is released to get a functional meson into testing.
