Not as well, I'd like to type db_recover and automatically be
using the latest version of it.

Symlinks would be a perfectly acceptable implementation for this
feature.

There is no need to duplicate the binaries, so just symlinks in a
package with an appropriate depends: line would be fine. I
repeat: IMHO the gcc package is a good example.

Who wants to use a specific version of the utils can type
dbx.x_recover, no change to this.
