The thought was that the (one) dhclient hook script would be moved to 
the new location.  But, as you say, it is difficult to get this right if 
we also want to support reversion.

It is much easier simply to provide a new script alongside the old one, 
so I am happy to do that.

It might be good if resolvconf's maintainer scripts warned the 
administrator if the dhclient hook script is non-original: the local 
changes made to that script should be carried over to the new script 
too.  What is the recommended approach for issuing such a warning?
