[pkg-dhcp-devel] Bug#604883: dhcp3-client: Does not set hostname but leaves '(none)'

Package: dhcp3-client
Version: 4.1.1-P1-12
Severity: normal

I recently upgraded a machine from lenny to squeeze. After the
upgrade, it had installed:
  dhcp-client 3.1.1-6+lenny4
  dhcp3-client 4.1.1-P1-12
  isc-dhcp-client 4.1.1-P1-12
and maybe also packages
  dhcp3-common
  isc-dhcp-common
After the squeeze update, at boot time, it did not set the
local hostname from data sent by the DHCP server; whereas it
used to do that just fine at lenny.
Removing the above packages and installing
  dhcpcd 1:3.2.3-5
instead, solved my problem: suggesting a bug in dhcp3-client.

Please let me know if I should check or debug something.

Cheers, Paul
