These appear to be the same, and they are still present in 4.1.1-P1-17.
Furthermore, if the hostname is changed while X is running, it may very well
happen that further connections to X are rejected, as the auth cookies are for
a specific hostname (at least on my box), therefore I'm raising the priority.

A workaround appears to be:

$ cat /etc/dhcp/dhclient-enter-hooks.d/hostname 
hostname() {
    return 0
}
