Hi,

There are other DHCP clients in Debian:
* pump
* dhcpcd
* udhcpc
* ...
plus other methods to get an IP address
* avahi
* guessnet
* router advertisements for IPv6 (see the server radvd)
* static network connections (for servers)
*...
and there may even be systems that do not need a network at all.

For all these reasons, I mark your bug wontfix.

Do you mind if I close it too?
