[pkg-dhcp-devel] Bug#668983: dhcpd 4.x is unable to find the DDNS master for a zone

When upgrading one of my servers from 3.x to 4.x I had to manually add 
the "primary" directive to dhcpd.conf or dynamic updates would fail:

dhcpd: Unable to add forward map from blade23.my.example.net to 10.0.1.1: not found

zone my.example.net {
  primary 10.0.0.1;
  key update.key;
}


This appears to be an upstream bug:
