[pkg-dhcp-devel] Over, through or around bug#723773

I'm sending this email after a suggestion from #debian on FreeNode.

This bug (in isc-dhcp-server-ldap) prevents TLS encryption between dhcpd 
and the LDAP server.  I really need a way past this bug as I'm trying to 
help out with documenting the FusionDirectory project (a fork of the 
Munich Linux effort) - a bugfix, workaround or backport... any way past 
this would be very much appreciated.  I can provide additional debug 
output, access to test VMs and other assistance (limited by the fact I'm 
no dev).
