Hi,

This isn't a bug in the dhcp client but a misconfiguration of your dhcp server.

The 'DHCP Client Behavior' section of RFC3442 says, in part:

"If the DHCP server returns both a Classless Static Routes option and a Router option, the DHCP client MUST ignore the Router option."

So you just need to add the default route to your classless routes and everything will be fine.
I assume the previous version of dhcp client you were using either didn't support the classless routes or wasn't RFC compliant.


I'll leave you to close the bug if you agree with my analysis.
