Sorry, I don't understand, what does that mean? How does Dynamic DNS factor
into this at all? Or is DDNS some new acronym for something else?

The issue was that one had to hardcode specific IP addresses of
recursive DNS servers given out to DHCP clients in the DHCP server's
domain-name-servers setting. What I was suggesting is to have a way of
telling the DHCP server to not require that, but that it relays whatever
the system resolver is currently set with.
