[Pkg-directfb-devel] Bug#689876: Drop usage of libsysfs

Package: libdirectfb-1.4-0
Version: 1.4.3-1
User: mpitt at debian.org
Usertags: libsysfs-deprecation

Hello,

this package is one of the few remaining ones which still use
libsysfs. libsysfs and sysfsutils has been an evolutionary dead-end
and has not been maintained for many years.

I finally orphaned the package in Debian as well.

Please drop the usage of libsysfs2/libsysfs-dev/sysfsutils from this
package, and access /sys/ directly, or possibly use libudev [1] if you
need some enumeration/filtering/notification API.

Thanks for considering,

Martin
