[Pkg-dns-devel] backporting knot-resolver

Hi Debian DNS packaging team--

Ondřej and i have been doing some work on knot-resolver, trying to get
1.5.0 available in debian.

Ondřej, i noticed that you pushed three revert-commits to the
master-backports branch that aim to make the package easier to build on
older distros.

However, i don't think any of those three are necessary for debian
stable.  are they?

 * debhelper 10 is in stretch;
 * dh-systemd is transitional/dummy in stretch; and
 * python3-breathe and python3-sphinx are both in stretch.

So i'd rather build the eventual stretch backport (assuming we can get
1.5.0 to migrate to testing) directly off of master, if that's possible.

I see you pushed efa6889d6b94fa39ee7ae59cee6cb85a4c5f1dbe as
stretch-backports, with an Author: line attributed to me :) But it's on
top of the master-backports branch. Do you mind if i move that branch
over to the master branch directly, so that it doesn't include the
revert-commits? or are the revert-commits somehow necessary for
something i don't understand about stretch?

I'm fine if a jessie-backports-sloppy branch derives from the
master-backports branch, fwiw.
