This is now in experimental. I'd appreciate any feedback from
interested people who have a chance to try it out. I think it makes the
packaging significantly cleaner, and closer to what the rest of the
project typically expects.

If i don't hear anything in a week or so, i'll make a new upload to
unstable.

Remaining work for package cleanup (from debian/TODO) for knot-resolver:

  * clean up javascript bundled by upstream, try to regenerate it from source

  * use systemd presets to suppress automatic launching

  * document using kresd as a public-facing resolver (#880682)

  * write a simple autopkgtest test suite

Anyone have suggestions about what a simple autopkgtest test suite would
look like?

I was thinking of a simple test that just installs a local recursive
resolver, and queries it directly using kdig for a handful of domain
names that we know exist, plus a query against www.dnssec-failed.org as
a negative test (see
https://docs.menandmice.com/display/MM/How+to+test+DNSSEC+validation as
an example)

any other suggestions for what a test suite would look like are welcome!
