Hrm, you're right, my bad. You can add a member group to a repository
(Settings -> Members -> Share with group), but not to a complete
repository group (yes, I know they are technically the same, but I find
it highly confusing).

Sorry, seems my memory served me wrong. Probably easy enough to script
with the Gitlab API though.
