[Seems the SPAM filters ate my first mail, trying again]

The current tarball of the text version of HOWTOs(*) seems to be broken,
it contains three zero-byte files: HOWTO-INDEX, INDEX and Installfest-HOWTO.
Seems something got messed up during generation.

(*) i.e.
ftp://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/docs/HOWTO/Linux-HOWTOs-20080124.tar.bz2
I encountered it first with Linux-HOWTOs-20080119.tar.bz2, seems the
tarball wasn't changed since then.
