Ok. The latest drupal package can be run on Etch with no problems.  
I'd prefer to use backports.org as a repository. I will ask Norbert  
shortly to add my key to the backports.org keyring.

If this will not succeed I'll set up a repository in the Web space of  
alioth project.

In the meanwhile, anybody willing to set up a web page in the project  
space to inform Etch users of package availability?
