What I ment is, that a delivery agent must be specified.
The default config has a default delivry agent set, when called by a
trusted user (see Trust settings in config), but not if called by an
untrusted user. 

I have seen the segfault problem earlier. However, I cannot reproduce it 
with the current version of the package (Release 56, dspam-3.6.2).
Could you rebuild your package and check, if it still exists.
Perhaps, we can give upstream some more info about what's wrong.

And if you have any suggestions regarding the default config, they are
very welcome.
