Joerg and team,
~ Happy New Year to all. Now that the holiday season is past, I am
sure some of us are ready to get to work on the project. In the
interest of kicking things off, I have compiled a short list of
questions regarding some preliminary issues we need to clarify:

1.) Were we set up as a Subersion project? Our project home page[0]
shows us as having a CVS repository.

2.) Should we take the same packaging approach used with the 2.1.x
Eclipse packaging effort, or should we step back and take a "lessons
learned" approach and reformulate the packaging structure?
Deciding/confirming how we will package can help us get the repository
set up and pave the way for folks to start contributing.

3.) Our activity is very closely related to the projects under the
Debian Java Packaging Project[1]. Since we, too, are packaging upstream
source, should we be a part of that project? Or does the considerable
size of the packaging effort warrant our being a separate project? The
latter would seem to be true.
